Did you know that you need a fine dust sticker in the environmental zone with an electric car? The ADAC checked the traffic knowledge of drivers – hardly anyone could answer everything correctly. And you? FOCUS Online shows the questions.

Driver’s license? I have – and know everything about driving. That’s what many think, but when push comes to shove, it looks pretty poor, at least with the theoretical knowledge. The ADAC found this out in an online survey of 3,500 drivers aged 17 and over. “Only two percent of the representatively selected respondents were able to answer more than 80 percent of the test questions from the catalog of the theoretical driving test correctly. On average, almost half of the tasks were solved correctly,” was the conclusion of the automobile club. !function(){var t=window.addEventListener?”addEventListener”:”attachEvent”;(0,window[t])(“attachEvent”==t?”onmessage”:”message”,function(t){if(“string”== typeof t.data

The test persons had to answer 20 original test questions. The test focused on common causes of accidents in driving behavior and on questions that have only recently been asked – such as talking on the phone while driving or the safety of cyclists. This may partly explain why long-time driver’s license holders are not as adept at these issues.

FOCUS Online shows 12 examples of the questions selected by ADAC. The correct answers can be found in the paragraph below. Would you do the theory test again? Here we go! !function(){var t=window.addEventListener?”addEventListener”:”attachEvent”;(0,window[t])(“attachEvent”==t?”onmessage”:”message”,function(t){if (“string”==typeof t.data

Did you answer all the questions correctly? Probably not – and you’re not the only one, as the ADAC reports: “Only six percent knew that not only petrol and diesel cars need a particulate matter sticker, but also electric cars. Only twelve percent had details about making phone calls in the car on screen, and only 25 percent knew where the zipper method is used.” !function(){var t=window.addEventListener?”addEventListener”:”attachEvent”;(0,window[t])(“attachEvent”==t?”onmessage”:”message”,function(t){if (“string”==typeof t.data

Many do not yet know the new rules for dealing with cyclists or with the mobile phone at the wheel. Sensitive fines threaten if these rules are disregarded. If you want to play through the ADAC quiz with all the questions yourself, you can find it here on the club’s website.
