Official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova at the weekly briefing, Russian foreign Ministry stated about the presence of attempts of foreign interference in the Affairs of Belarus.
According to Zakharova, Moscow is concerned about the mass riots in Belarus and provide intervention in the internal situation in the country from the outside. “We are concerned about reports associated with violations of public order incidents in the streets of several Belarusian towns and cities that took place after the presidential elections,” – said Maria Zakharova, adding that the use of such methods has been previously seen in other countries.
She urged all parties to show restraint and prudence, confirmed the interest in a stable political situation in Belarus. As noted by the official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry in Moscow expect that soon the situation in the neighboring country will normalize and return to a quiet channel. Zakharova also called groundless the attempts to find the “Russian trace” in the unrest in Belarus. According to her, Russia’s Ambassador in Minsk Dmitry Mezentsev is in close contact with the Belarusian authorities.
