The official representative the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova condemned the actions of the state Department in a situation stuck with USA and Russian students. She told about it on air "Russia 1".
She called the actions of the American authorities "Scam" and "a terrible scheme" because the state Department did not provide information about students who are asking for help to return them home.
"the Savagery of this news is that nobody said who these kids are, where they are, how can you contact them", – said Zakharov.
The foreign Ministry spokesman added that Russia demanded the United States to provide information about 74 Russian schoolchildren, but the state Department took responsibility for their fate and did not provide the requested information.
She also expressed the view that children were sent to study "secretly", because the U.S. Embassy in Moscow were provided additional data on the number of students who are now in the United States.
Zakharov said that now the priority is the removal of the children back to Russia, and the details of exchange programs is to do then.
