At the end – two months of existence, the project collected 5.5 million views on the Internet. It became clear that the campaign must continue. The next stage is timed to the 160th anniversary since the birth of Anton Chekhov, which is celebrated this year.

In the marathon involved Anna Banshchikova, Alena Babenko, Egor Beroev, Love Tolkalina, Julia Peresild, and many others. Participants will read Chekhov’s stories such as “nothing to do”, “Chemist”, “Thick and thin”, “Complaints book” and others, as well as monologues from famous plays of the writer: for example, users will witness the events of “the Cherry orchard”, read in the new key.

Jerome, is still available for everyone all in the same official group of the festival “Reading” to Classmates. Since the launch of the online project “Read at home” in this group was published more than 30 videos which have about 500 thousand views. Even more interesting users OK showed the start of the readings of Chekhov’s works: the first video with Anna Banshikova collected 526 thousand views and over 4 thousand “classes” – like marks.

the First Russian festival of film adaptations of “Reading” was held in Moscow from 20 to 23 June 2019. The idea of the forum was supported by the Department of cinematography of Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation, Federal Agency for press and mass communications and the Department of culture of Moscow. In 2020, the project had to take place in June, but due to the epidemiological situation .
