World Championships in athletics was held in American Eugene (Oregon) from 6 to 15 August 2021.
Monday was declared a new date for the holding of the summer Olympic games in Tokyo, was postponed due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus. They will be held from 23 July to 8 August 2021.

“We support the new dates for the Olympic games in Tokyo, announced today by the organizing Committee and the IOC. This gives the athletes time to return to training and competition. Everyone needs to be flexible and to compromise. We are now working with the organizing Committee of the world championship in athletics in Oregon, to designate a new date in 2022. We are also negotiating with the organisers of the Commonwealth Games and European Championships,” – said in the release of World Athletics.
