The race to succeed ex-president Werner Gegenbauer at Hertha BSC is in full swing. Now two Berlin legends are talking about the presidency.
Sziedat and Granitza want to be on the board: Michael Sziedat (69) and Karl-Heinz Granitza (70) want to run for the Hertha board. This is reported by the “image”. Both are former Hertha players from the 1970s and reached the DFB Cup final with the Berliners in 1978/79.
Short, compact, clear
Legends want a breath of fresh air: Despite their age, Sziedat and Granitza want to breathe new life into the club. “We have ideas that we want to realize. We want to bring the club back together – in every way. This means that hostilities must stop – including between each other in the office.”
Office still unclear: The two ex-players have not yet envisaged a specific position. “We feel confident about all the roles in the executive committee.” After the resignation of Werner Gegenbauer and other board members, a total of five positions have to be filled.
