The former boss of the pastry manufacturer Griesson – de Beukelaer, Heinz Gries, has died at the age of 87. For decades, Gries led the family business to become a European market leader. Gries has been a bearer of the Federal Cross of Merit on the Ribbon of the Order of Merit since 2004.
