The Russian authorities clearly make it clear to Alexander Lukashenko that the success of his next presidential term will depend on the success of real integration, said in an interview to a REGNUM correspondent on Monday, August 10, a member of the Council for interethnic relations under the President of Russia Bogdan Bezpalko.
According to preliminary data of the CEC of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko won about 80% of the votes in the election of the President of Belarus. Vladimir Putin sent him a telegram, which said: he expects that the state activity of Lukashenko “will promote further development of mutually beneficial relations in all areas”, “deepening cooperation in the framework of the Union state”, “capacity of integration processes and political-military ties.”
“This telegram should be regarded as a warning. The President of Russia and the Russian elite realized that Lukashenko will in any case suppress protests, even if it means he will have to go to shed blood, that he will fight.
But just to remap itself for the sixth time — this is not enough. The whole economic system of Belarus is dependent on Russia. And Lukashenko is clearly stated: the success of his presidency will depend on the quality of integration, the success of the development of the Union state. Will not be integrated — there will be no assistance,” said Bogdan Bezpalko.
