The majority of Russian citizens appreciated the work of the Central election Commission (CEC) of Russia and entrusts her to the Chairwoman Ella Pamfilova. This is evidenced by the results of a survey of the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM).
According to them, 88% of Russians know about the existence of the CEC, including 93% of respondents 45-59 years of age, 93% were older than 60 years and 70% among young people. 36% of respondents cited the CEC is the main body for ensuring the electoral rights in the country, while 33% noted the important role of the Commission in this matter.
71-75% of Russian citizens believe that the CEC copes well with its task: to inform about the elections (75%), the date (74%), ways of voting (73%) and the organization of elections (71%).
43% of Russians have more positive feelings for the CEC Chairwoman Pamfilova, and 51% trust it to some extent.
The survey was conducted through telephone interviews on may 29 and June 15. It was attended by 1.6 thousand adult citizens of Russia.
