Another peak in the incidence of COVID-19 in Russia was predicted by virologist Anatoly Altstein. In an interview with RIA Novosti, he said that the rise in the incidence is expected at the end of August.
“In other countries, it usually takes a month from the beginning of the epidemic, we started (the rise) somewhere in late July, so there should be a peak at the end of August,” Altstein suggested.
He clarified that the domestic healthcare system is unlikely to be overloaded due to a new wave of coronavirus.
