in 2015, “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” together with the Central archive of the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation forms the nominal public database not awarded. Today it contains the officially confirmed information about 843 65 awards and medals, which for various reasons were not presented to participants of war. Their direct heirs are entitled to receive the award documents.
More than 3 million people in Russia and abroad have addressed in our project “Stars of Victory”. Thanks to the correspondents of “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” and “homeland”, our voluntary assistants archivists, historians, searchers – hundreds of families of veterans came from certificates to awards of wartime. Only the father and daughter Nakhusheva – Ahmed Belovich and Diana from the city of Baksan in Kabardino-Balkaria found more than 245 non-delivered orders and medals of their countrymen returning from war and victims.
And 29 awards were able to give to living participants of the great Patriotic war!
