When building a house most of the materials were taken from confiscated stocks. Initially, the apartments in the building were received by employees of the Ministry of state security of the USSR. Later in ornamental add-ons on the roof housed the satellite communication Center DOSAAF. Antenna in combination with a pompous decorations were so picturesque that attracted the attention of filmmakers: the house has starred in famous Soviet film about scouts “TASS is authorized to declare”.
