The Ukrainian government has banned its citizens from travelling to Belarus for internal passports. About it reports “Ukrainian truth”.
The ban will come into force on 1 September 2019. His introduction explained the low level of protection of internal passports of Ukraine and the inability to automatically read them when passing the border control.
The government said that the ban would only apply to crossing the border from Ukraine to Belarus, in the opposite direction the citizens of Ukraine will be able to cross it with internal passports after September 1.
Previously between the two countries was the agreement of 2009 on visa-free travel of Ukrainians in Belarus. They can enter, leave, transit through the territory of the country and stay there for 90 days within 180 days without a visa on the basis of internal passports.
December 18, the Ukrainian government forbade citizens to travel to Russia on internal passports. In a simplified mode of crossing the Ukrainian foreign Ministry sees a threat to national security.
