Ukraine can give “the answer” Russian exercises “Caucasus-2020”, conducted in parallel to its own doctrines “in quite unexpected places.” This was stated by the head of Council of national security and defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov, on 28 July, the TV channel “Ukraine is 24”.
According to him, Ukraine is protected in the South:
“what applies to the territory of the Nikolaev and Kherson areas, all closed tightly. But we understand with whom we can have a war with the Russian Federation. To diminish her power — a big mistake.”
Danilov pointed out that recent international exercise Sea Breeze showed that in a situation of “attack” of the Russian Federation, Ukraine will not be left alone with the “enemy.”
"May be in parallel with the exercises “Caucasus-2020″, and in quite unexpected places. Which will take place in September, teaching — let’s see,” — said the head of the NSDC of Ukraine.
As REGNUM reported earlier Danilov said that, declaring a truce in the Donbass, Ukraine has given the enemy the opportunity to “go in peace”.
We will remind, Russia is not a party to the conflict in the Donbass. Ukrainian authorities say about “Russian aggression”, not wanting to recognize the civilian character of war in the region, as well as his responsibility for its outbreak.
