Advisor of Angela Merkel on foreign policy, Jan Hecker took in Berlin Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Kozak, to establish communication, “nothing secret and urgent” there was not, said the head of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba.
“there was a lack of communication specifically between Mr. Kozak and Mr Ian Hecker. And in this way this deficiency has decided to resolve to not on the phone, and just sit and chat. But nothing secret and urgent, I assure you, was not” – said Kuleba in his interview to “RBC-Ukraine”.
Kuleba emphasized once again that Ukraine is known from German colleagues about this visit and know about the results. According to him, it was a consultation and no decisions there without the participation of Ukraine not accepted.
According to him, the Advisory Council to the contact group on settling the situation in Donbass was not created due to the lack of “consensus” between all stakeholders.
Earlier, a source reported that Kozak made a one-day working visit to Berlin to discuss settlement in the South-East of Ukraine, and also establish personal contact with the Advisor of Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel by Jan Hecker.
He later Kozak told about the negotiations, and in Germany explained the visit under sanctions Kozak. Former Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin expressed concern in connection with the visit of Kozak in Germany.
