The security service of Ukraine (SBU) from the beginning, neutralized 103 cyber attacks on information resources of state authorities. About it writes “UKRINFORM”.
According to authorities, since March, a significant number of attacks against agencies that combat the coronavirus. In the SBU reported that the hackers sent to the mailboxes of state institutions emails, attached files with a malware.
“the Majority of hacker attacks originate from the Russian intelligence services who are trying to gain remote access to the computers of Ukrainian government agencies. Then they plan to distort or destroy the data, distribute fakes on behalf of state agencies and to discredit the actions of the Ukrainian authorities”, — stated in the SBU, accusing Russia of carrying out “coronavirus” cyber attacks.
The Ministry said that in January-March, the work was stopped nearly two thousand sites that hackers use for attacks. It was discovered 117 criminal cases. SBU also sent to state agencies recommendations for complying with information security.
Earlier the head of SBU Ivan Bakanov made to the national security Council and defense of Ukraine the proposal to extend sanctions against social network “Schoolmates” and “Vkontakte”, as well as other Russian services and programs.
