A Danish aircraft in the monitoring task at the EU’s external border was in march followed the “several minutes” of two Turkish fighter jet.
It appears by a response from the German government to a member of the Bundestag in Berlin, writes the news agency dpa.
the Incident happened over The Aegean Sea, where Denmark contributes to a task with an aircraft of the type Bombardier Challenger.
Prime minister Mette Frederiksen (S) announced in early march that she had contacted both Greece and Bulgaria in order to offer further assistance.
It happened at a time when suddenly there arose renewed pressure on the external borders of the EU, after Turkey’s president had said that the gate to the “European standing open”. Thousands of migrants were rejected at the borders of the EU.
The Danish aircraft contributes to the mission, “Aegean 2020” under the EU’s limit – and kystagentur, Frontex.
Turkey violate daily the Greek sovereignty by overflights of inhabited islands like Agathonisi, Oinousses and Lipsi. They fly close to the ground and cries profusely.
