Two sections of the Kuryanovo industrial zone in the south-east of Moscow will be reorganized as part of the Industrial Quarters program. The total volume of investments in the implementation of projects will exceed 23.5 billion rubles.
According to Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department, investors will build almost 280 thousand square meters of real estate.
The integrated development of the territories (CRT) of the former industrial zones of Moscow within the framework of the Industrial Quarters project will allow the city to get about 500 thousand jobs and almost three trillion rubles of budget revenues, and the total investment will amount to more than seven trillion rubles.
The project “Industrial Quarters” allows you to involve unused and virtually abandoned urban areas into circulation. The first contract was signed in July 2020 — this is a project for the integrated development of the territory in the Oktyabrskoye Field production zone, the total area of which is 5.92 hectares. Investments in the development of the industrial zone will amount to almost 14 billion rubles, the budget effect will be about 1.8 billion rubles. Its implementation period is designed for six years, but the investor plans to complete the construction by 2024.
In November 2020, Moscow hosted the country’s first auction for the right to conclude a CRT agreement, within the framework of which a section of the Korovino industrial zone will be reorganized.
In June, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, two more agreements were signed on the integrated development of the territories of production zones on the initiative of the copyright holders. Thanks to the “Industrial Quarters” project, the Korovino and Kuntsevo industrial zones, located in the north and west of Moscow, respectively, will gain a second life. In addition, in September, the fifth agreement was signed — on the reorganization of a section of the industrial zone Altufevskoe Highway.
