Two Russians detained in Uganda for violation of the quarantine, reports RIA Novosti with reference to head of the consular Department of the Russian Embassy in the African country Yevgeny parastaeva.
It is noted that they did not have permission to travel the country by car. Now the Russian Embassy finds out what happened to them, said the diplomat.
“consistent with (quarantine) measures no one has the right to travel by private transport,” said parastayev. He added that information about the detention of Russians are not yet known.
On 14 April, the authorities extended the quarantine to 5 may, said President Yoweri Museveni in his Twitter. It was introduced back on March 31.
According to recent reports, Uganda identified 54 cases of infection with coronavirus. 8 people were cured, deaths are not yet recorded.
