American company Twitter from Monday will start to mark published in the social network messages, which may contain false or debatable information about the new type of coronavirus. This is stated in the message of the company published on its official website.
"Contributing to the public dialogue, our goal is to make it easy to find reliable information on Twitter and to limit the spread of potentially dangerous and deceptive content. Starting today, we are introducing new marks and warning messages that provide additional context and information on records containing controversial and unreliable information associated with COVID-19" – it is told in the company message.
Specifies that such reports will be marked with a special mark, which will redirect the user to the official page of the social network or other website, which contains verified and accurate information on coronavirus. Entries that contain false information will be deleted.
As reported by the company, a special mark will appear on the messages that were published before may 12.
