RTL only separated from Bohlen in 2021, who had been on the jury since the format began in 2002. The decision was made on the initiative of the broadcaster and not at Bohlen’s request, a spokesman said at the time: “RTL has decided to fundamentally develop the shows ‘DSDS’ and ‘Das Supertalent’.”
