It starts with a big bang. Presenter Daniel Hartwich, also known from “Jungle Camp” and “Let’s Dance”, announces the “title of all titles” at the beginning of the Friday evening show – and “everyone is hot for it”. The eight teams of two, in turn, promptly feel “pure awe”. An amazing realization also comes: “It’s just like on television.” Exactly. And to be more precise, we are at the RTL television station. He celebrates “Lego Masters”. 2.5 million bricks are ready to be built. The best team can win 25,000 euros at the end.

Who will become masters? The jury is also masterful. Rene Hoffmeister is a certified Lego model builder and says of himself that he is “envied by many children”. The participants agree: “He’s a rock star for us.” Elisabeth Kahl-Backes is Design Director at Lego. And it beginns. Admirable how the hobbyists go to work. You have two hours for the first task. The task is to build a vehicle that jumps through a flaming hoop. We see an eagle mobile, a flying coffee cup, a bed mobile. Ben and Luis’ fire vehicle flies a full 3.10 meters.

Of course, the Lego puzzlers have one thing in common: their hobby consists of colorful bricks. In real life, they work for insurance companies, in hospitals, as IT specialists, tattoo artists – or – like Zypper – as survivors. They have ten hours for the next challenge. It should be a special building. There is direct marriage trouble between Nadine and Daniel. She complains that he is taking too much time. Light pink flowers are now missing. Nadine is annoyed and is supposed to create a ten-year marriage model. Moderator Hartwich has bad rumors while he is founding the “Hellrosa Blume” society and does not find the mini-stones for a long time: “Then Nadine and Daniel’s marriage will end.”

It will be colourful, just as the participating couples also bring varied CVs with them. The buildings are a Japanese scenery with Mount Fuji, a Cologne carnival float, a futuristic Planet X. Nadine and Daniel have turned their ten years of marriage into spinning cupcakes. It shines and moves – everyone should decide for themselves whether they like it. But technically quite impressive is what the Lego people have fabricated. One thinks as a naïve viewer. “It’s still a bit structurally simple,” Lego model maker Rene Hoffmeister grumbles from time to time.

Basti and Alex received the “Golden Stone” with their parade, and the jury was particularly impressed by the oversized skull in the building. How flies out this Friday night? Mike and Steffen. “In my Lego heart there will always be a parade car for you,” says Hartwich. Next Friday, the seven teams can play again – with lots of colorful stones. Are you starting again now?

“Goodbye Germany” star Lisa Reyes lives with her husband Robert and their two children in the USA. Her husband now faces a hefty prison sentence.

Pensioner Günni hoped for just 300 euros for his flower painting at “Bares for Rares”. But the rarity was worth much more to the dealers.

Welcome to “The Wollnys – A Terribly Big Family”! We learn how to live flexibly – even a washing machine in the children’s room doesn’t bother us.
