In the US, more than 40,000 people reported that Google was unavailable to them after 11:12 p.m. (German time). When accessing the website, an error message appeared: “The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request. Please try again in 30 seconds.”
Google Maps, Gmail and Google Images were also affected. By 4:30 a.m., the problem appeared to be resolved. Google has not yet communicated what caused the disruption.
