the US President Donald trump said that he never proposed to add a sculptural portrait to the memorial at mount Rushmore. So the American leader has commented on reports that appeared in the media.
Previously, the newspaper The New York Times said that trump wants to add itself to other sculptural portraits of U.S. presidents on mount Rushmore in South Dakota. The publication claimed that the idea the White house allegedly discussed with the Governor of the state of Kristi Noem, RIA Novosti reported.
“It’s all fake news,” wrote trump on his Twitter. However, he noted that it is a good idea, especially when you consider how many things he managed to do for the first three and a half years. “Perhaps more than during the reign of any other President,” said trump.
the memorial on mount Rushmore is carved in granite bas-relief with a height of 18.6 meters, with the portraits of four American presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. It was created in the years 1927-1941 under the direction of sculptor Gutzon Børglum.
