Former state Duma Deputy Dmitry Gudkov, citing a lawyer political strategist Vitalia Shklyarov, who was detained in Minsk, told about the conditions of his detention in prison. According to him, the man kept in prison “in conditions of torture”. About this Gudkov wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to him, Shklyarov daily forced to shave with a dull razor, causing his face —”continuous bleeding”. For refusing to shave a man was put in solitary confinement. And on Wednesday, August 12, fully naked Shklyarov planted five hours in the so-called “glass” — a narrow room, where not to sit. In addition, he is allowed to shower only once a week. Also, the consultant is prohibited to correspond.
“It happens to a famous person that they write about media. Imagine, how came the mad Lukashenko with all his other victims,” — said Gudkov.
Vitaly Shklyarov was detained July 29. Belarusian TV claimed that it worked with blogger Sergei Tikhanovski. The latter wanted to run for President, but at the moment is under arrest. Candidates in elections have registered his wife Svetlana. On 7 August, the consultant was charged under part 1 of article 342 of the criminal code of Belarus — “Organizing and preparing the actions that breach public order or active participation in them”.
