During the annual MICHELIN Guide Ceremony in Houston, several restaurants in the Central Texas area were recognized for their exceptional cuisine. Austin, in particular, stood out with a number of restaurants receiving prestigious accolades.
Among the Austin restaurants that were highlighted, some were awarded One MICHELIN Star. These included Barley Swine for its contemporary cuisine, Craft Omakase for its Japanese cuisine, Hestia for its American cuisine, InterStellar BBQ and la Barbecue for their barbecue cuisine, Leroy and Lewis Barbecue, and Olamaie for its American cuisine.
Two Austin restaurants were also honored with a MICHELIN Green Star, which is a symbol of sustainable gastronomy. Dai Due and Emmer & Rye were recognized for their commitment to environmentally friendly practices in addition to their delicious American cuisine.

Some of the notable Bib Gourmand recipients in Austin were Briscuits, Cuantos Tacos, Distant Relatives, Franklin Barbecue, Kemuri Tatsu-ya, KG BBQ, La Santa Barbacha, Micklethwait Craft Meats, Nixta Taqueria, Odd Duck, Ramen del Barrio, and Veracruz Fonda & Bar.
It’s worth mentioning that Barbs B Q in Lockhart also made the list for its exceptional barbecue cuisine. Additionally, other cities in Texas such as Bellaire, Dallas, Fort Worth, Pearland, San Antonio, Seguin, Spring, and Tomball had restaurants recognized with a Bib Gourmand.
