The American actor is actively working on this project with director Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow) and the support of Universal studio, according to Variety magazine.
Tom Cruise would thus become the first civilian to shoot a movie in space. “We’re working diligently on this project and we’ll see where it takes us,” he said at the New York premiere of Mission: Impossible’s new chapter, Dead Reckoning Part One.
Cruise’s comments were reported by Variety magazine, which also stated that the film’s budget was 200 million. The details of this unusual shoot have not yet been released by the production team.
But before embarking on this project, the actor must shoot the second part of Dead Reckoning, still directed by Christopher McQuarrie.
