A six-hectare plot of land has been allocated in the Khoroshevo-Mnevniki area for the construction of a National Football Center. The decision was made by the Urban Planning and Land Commission of the city of Moscow. It will be a new base of national and youth teams.

It is planned that the center will have three large fields with hybrid lawn, heating and automatic irrigation. One of them will have stands for 500 spectators. In addition, a building will be built where the coaching staffs, departments and services of the Russian Football Union (RFU) responsible for working with national teams will be located. Athletes can also be temporarily accommodated there: the premises will be equipped with everything necessary for training.

The center will be open all year round. Among other things, there will be able to conduct selection fees, meetings with instructors and students of the RFU Academy, referees. The construction of the center is part of the RFU’s comprehensive strategy for the development of its own football infrastructure.

The exact parameters of the development will be approved after the development and approval of the territory planning project.
