With today’s statement from the DBU on that summer’s test matches against Norway and Sweden are cancelled, Denmark’s national coach in recent years, Åge Hareide, thus stood at the head of the national team for the last time.
It is no surprise, since the summer’s european championship-finals, was already cancelled, but it is still a wistful Norwegian, who gives his verdict with the addition of dbu.dk.
“I could slightly see where the bar sometime, and of course it is pity not to be able to say goodbye with a match on Danish soil in front of our amazing fans,” says Åge Hareide, who on landstrænerposten will be replaced by Kasper Hjulmand.
“the Situation right now is very special and very serious, and in the big picture I am not important. There are people who lose their works and lose their loved ones, and people who die. It is what I think, above all else,” adds Åge Hareide.
the Norwegian Denmark had qualified for both the WORLD cup in Russia 2018 and the upcoming european championship on home ground and only suffered three defeats in 42 matches since his accession in 2016.
In the last 34 matches with Åge Hareide as a co-pilot on the sidelines it not been for defeat in regular time.
“It has been an absolutely amazing time, and I would like to send a huge thank you to the players, the staff and all of you fans that have been there for me and for us all the way through. I’ll never forget the special moments I have experienced as a coach,” says Åge Hareide.
Norwegian has not yet received its future on the space, but considering to stop as a coach.
