The U.S. administration has evidence that the new coronavirus allegedly began to spread from the laboratory in Wuhan. With this statement made on Sunday on air of TV channel ABC the Secretary of state Michael Pompeo.

On the question of whether he had seen any evidence in favor of this version, the head of foreign policy Department of the USA said: "There is strong evidence that it began there. We said from the beginning that this virus, which appeared in the Chinese city of Wuhan".

"China had previously infected the world, they were previously laboratories that did not meet the standards. This is not the first time the world has been exposed to the virus, which appeared due to errors in Chinese laboratories" – says Pompeo.

"the Intelligence community is still working. It should continue to do so and conduct checks to we were sure. I can say that there is a significant amount of evidence that it came from a lab in Wuhan," he added.

On the question of whether, in his opinion, the virus was created artificially, Pompeo said, "apparently, the best experts still believe that it was created by man. I have no reason not to believe it at this stage". He did not explain what the experts are talking about. The Secretary of state has ignored the words of ABC journalist that previously received information according to which the U.S. intelligence community does not believe that the virus was created artificially.

U.S. Secretary of state also once again made a statement that the Chinese authorities tried to conceal some information about the spread of the coronavirus.

the Position of China

Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of China Le Yucheng, on April 29 in an interview to journalists of TV channel NBC stated that any claims for compensation put forward by Beijing in connection with the coronavirus, are absurd and represent a "political farce". The diplomat also expressed regret at the fact that "some politicians are using the situation with the virus for defamation of China". However, he reiterated that Beijing "do not hide any information" about the coronavirus.

In April, the official representative of the Chinese foreign Ministry Zhao Lijiang also said that the version about the artificial creation of coronavirus is not supported by any evidence. He commented on the publication of the American Fox News channel that first became infected with coronavirus, a member of the laboratory in Wuhan.
