Senior research fellow of the German Marshall Fund of the Noah barkin (the organization was banned in Russia) said that the US response to the coronavirus was worried about Europe more than the actions of China. It is reported by Foreign Policy.
Barkin referred to the results of the study Fund Cerberus, which showed that 37 percent of Germans said was the most important partner countries of the US, but almost as many – 36 percent – made a choice in favor of China.

In the US, according to him, they see the chaos and the failure of the authorities to work together, lack of cooperation with science and trump’s attempts to destroy U.S.-China relations for the sake of re-election.
The expert is sure that it is not only the trump: even if next year in the White house would be Joe Biden, the inter-party schism will remain.
Barkin also drew attention to the results of a survey of British Foreign Policy Group, according to which only 28 percent of Britons believe the behavior of the United States responsible. This is 13 percent less than in January 2020.
Company Ifop asked the French what country is now the best position to address the major issues of the coming decades. Only 3 percent chose the United States. The SWG survey showed that 36 percent of Italians want their country focused on the relationship with China, 30 percent chose the United States.
The expert noted that Europe negotiates with China on major investment agreement and the joint fight against climate change. If contracts will be entered into, it will be yet another signal about the loss of the United States of Europe.
