As RIA Novosti reported with reference to the foreign Affairs Committee of the house of representatives in the U.S. Congress introduced a resolution condemning “human rights violations in Russia.”
the Document calls on the Russian government to immediately release all political prisoners, and the administration of the President of the United States are encouraged to impose sanctions on Russian officials and officials responsible for violation of human rights.
In particular, the authors of the resolution have accused the Russian authorities of harassment of journalists, opposition members, members of civil society.
