NASA, together with the European space Agency has published pictures of the Sun with a record close distance. Photos taken with the probe "Solar Orbiter". The spacecraft was found to be approximately 77 million kilometers from the star. This is about half the distance from Earth to the Sun. The probe took pictures of lights in different light ranges.
"Solar Orbiter" is the spacecraft to study the Sun, which was developed by the European space Agency with participation by NASA. The purpose of the mission is to conduct studies of the Sun and its inner heliosphere with high resolution. The launch of the spacecraft occurred on 10 February 2020, the year with the help of the carrier rocket "Atlas-5".
