He reminded that the ban on the presence of foreign citizenship, residence permit and other documents permitting permanent residence in a foreign country for deputies, senators and other officials is the norm of the Constitution.
Note that earlier the state Duma has appealed on this issue to the Central election Commission of the Russian Federation, where the answer came that the CEC had no information about the foreign citizenship of the requested persons at the time of election of deputies of the seventh convocation. In this regard, Vyacheslav Volodin instructed to continue the test. As previously warned the speaker, if the information is confirmed, “against these deputies will take appropriate legislative measures”.
