The standard test to detect the Covid-19 is no longer alone ! To find out if a patient is a victim of the new coronavirus, the PCR test has been imposed in the hospitals. The principle is based on detection of the genetic material of the virus in samples taken from deep within the nasal cavity of the patient. However, this is not the only method of diagnosis. Another instrument is taking a decisive place to quickly sort through the steady stream of patients sent to the hospitals : the scanner.
