About one third of Russians (33%) said that their choice of future profession was influenced by the expected level of income. The majority of Russians (74%) think their profession is interesting, according to the results of the "Work.PY", which are available on the TASS.
The study showed, the choice of 30% of the respondents was influenced by the opinion of the members of their families, 23% indicated the importance of career prospects and 12% of Russian citizens indicated that selected the current profession due to the opinions of friends. The smaller importance for the choice of profession, according to survey participants, is the influence of teachers (6%), rankings of universities and professions (5%), examples of famous personalities (4%).
Most exciting job the Russians have called the work of a designer – this option was chosen by 21% of respondents. Interest in the work of a journalist identified 15% of respondents, an engineer, of the 14% car driver 13%. The five most interesting professions, according to respondents, are short of doctors and scientists – this option is chosen by 12% of respondents.
The top 10 interesting professions also includes programmers (11%), actors (10%), builders (9%), teachers (8%) and pilots (7%).
The study was conducted in July 2020, among more than 3.7 million users of the service over 18 years throughout Russia.
