The Red Rooms, Pascal Plante’s third feature film (Nadia, Butterfly and Fake Tattoos), will have its world premiere at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic, which runs from June 30 to July 8.
This psychological thriller explores the world of the hidden web (dark web) and stars Juliette Gariépy and Laurie Babien, who play two groupies fascinated by the hypermediatised trial of a serial killer (played by Maxwell McCabe-Lokos).
One of them, increasingly obsessed with this story, will develop a sick fixation for the criminal. She will then try by all means to find the missing video of the murder of one of the victims with whom she has a disturbing resemblance. The Red Rooms, whose trailer is unveiled on Tuesday, will be released on August 11 in Quebec. Remember that Nadia, Butterfly was in the official selection of the Cannes Film Festival in 2020.
