The capital has started accepting applications for the Moscow Government awards in the field of environmental protection and for the best project of complex improvement of natural and green areas of the city.
The competition in the field of environmental protection has been held since 2003, there are four nominations in total:
— “The best implemented project using environmentally friendly and energy-saving technologies”;
— “The best ecological-educational and ecological-educational project”;
— “The best journalistic materials, TV and radio broadcasts about the ecology of Moscow”;
— “The best achievements in the field of environmental protection of representatives of public environmental associations”.
Two prizes can be awarded in each nomination. The winners are awarded with a bronze statuette with the symbol of the competition, badges and certificates signed by the Mayor of Moscow.
The competition in the field of landscaping has been held since 2011 among representatives of design organizations and educational institutions, a total of six prizes are awarded. To participate, it is necessary to submit an unrealized landscaping project. The laureates of the competition will receive diplomas of the winners, and participants will be awarded commemorative certificates.
The projects of the participants are evaluated by a professional jury, which includes leading experts in the field of architecture, ecology and landscaping. The main criteria for selecting the best works are the ecological validity of design decisions and taking into account the natural features of the territory when selecting the types of plants to be planted, innovation and relevance, as well as the environmental effect obtained during implementation.
