Expert of the national energy security Fund Stanislav Mitrakhovich predicted the fate of the “Nord stream-2” after issued by Polish authorities a fine of 57 million euros. About it writes “Evening Moscow”.
According to experts, the penalty is imposed will not prevent the construction of the pipeline, despite the fact that Warsaw did much to this effort. Mitrakhovich considers that the Polish authorities are looking for clues to prevent the Russian side in the project.
“That Poland found the item that you cannot create a company consortium that would build “Nord stream-2″ without the consent of Warsaw, because the companies that will build the pipeline, will also work in Poland” — said the expert.
on August 3 it became known that the state anti-monopoly regulator UOKIK, Poland imposed a fine on Gazprom in the amount of 57 million euros for refusing to cooperate and provide necessary information about the construction of “Nord stream-2”. It was reported that the required information pertains to the financing of the project and the participation of foreign oil companies, which have the status of investors operator of the gas pipeline company Nord Stream AG 2.
Imposed on “Gazprom” the fine is the maximum possible under Polish law. Earlier similar measures have been applied to the French Engie, who also refused to cooperate with Warsaw.
