At the “Perfect Dinner” (VOX) the mood rises. On day 3 of the “Week of Diversity”, pop singer Josimelonie not only goes full throttle with the starter: Each course of her menu contains a very special high-proof nuance.

Wednesday, June 22nd: After the LGBTQIA special of the “Perfect Dinner” not only provided a lot to learn, observe and empathize with, not only the sensitive use of pronouns, the motto on day 3 is above all – fun. This is guaranteed by reality starlet and influencer Josi from Cologne. The 28-year-old is not only known for her experience and activism as a trans woman, but also for her tireless work on shows from DSDS to “Take Me Out”. The message of the colorful diversity is really important to her: “I want to spam people with it until they say ‘It’s boring’. Only then will I stop being annoying.”

No sooner said than done, because one thing is the dinner evening at “Josimelonie”, Josi’s stage name as “party hit singer”, not: boring. Her goal is also clear: “It is important to me that all guests reach three per thousand.”

Anyone who is now waiting for the melon component in Josis Dinner will have to be disappointed: this is only included in her hit “Show me your melons” (“They are plump, they are beautiful, everyone wants to see those things”) served between courses. As far as their menu is concerned, the flavor and, above all, effect carriers are liquid. “Full throttle” is a tomato soup with gin cream, which Josi likes one thing in particular: “Great, you can eat it and drink it at the same time.”

As if the round hadn’t already done that: The trained administrative clerk, who already shuffled while cooking chaos (“I’m completely on the A…”), suffices for an aperitif, Lillet Wildberry and her favorite drink “Wodka ahoi!” – one shot Spirit directly into the fizzy bag. The fact that, in addition to white wine and various shots from tequila to “Mexican” (not even that “hot”) pork medallions and kohlrabi schnitzel for vegans, is secondary.

“I’ve never heard of kohlrabi,” tweets Josi, for whom vegan cuisine is a real challenge: “I already eat mett with onions for breakfast.” The veggies Max (35), Steph (29) and Tim (32) say thank you she said: “The schnitzel was only a little burnt,” says “diversity consultant” Max.

At least the level is right – and on the eve of his dinner, Pastor Tim (“Today the party hit is the most diverse thing for me”) demands a final shot. Not for the food, but for the great atmosphere, Josi received a very good 36 points. Next stop Ballermann? “Probably not,” the happy hostess dismisses: “He’s not trans enough yet.”

Tuesday, June 21: “I’m devastated”: Kathy really wasn’t born to cook. Somehow the filter coffee for the tiramisu dessert doesn’t really want to trickle through the bag – but wait: the water is still cold! But the bottom of the pot, into which the cooking water for the main course gnocchi (from the bag) flows, is red hot – oops, the plate is left on…

But Kathy’s (24) around 390,000 TikTok fans will certainly forgive the influencer for not awarding gourmet stars on day 2 of the LGTBQIA special of “The Perfect Dinner” (VOX), but followers being generated. Instead of exciting ingredients, it rains colorful flags and encouragement for uncompromising self-esteem. Even if, as in Kathy’s case, it means moving back to the “Hotel Mama” in Langenfeld near Cologne after a few years in Spain and New Zealand: “In the meantime we live quite well together,” says Kathy about the flat share with mother Angie. Especially since it also offers advantages: “Today she is responsible for the dishes.” Kathy herself takes care of the down-to-earth culinary delights:

A menu where nothing can go wrong on paper: “I printed out the recipes so I wouldn’t forget what I was cooking,” says Kathy, commenting on her preparation. The danger that something slips in the memory is definitely there: In between, a small insert on the pole dance pole at home should not be missing.

However, after everything has been prepared and the tiramisu is “chilling” in the fridge, the guests are allowed to come: “Diversity consultant” Max (35), party singer Josi (28), influencer:in Steph (29) and the evangelical pastor Tim (32). They all share a boundless understanding of gender and identity, and Kathy also sees herself “sometimes as a woman, sometimes as a man, and usually somewhere in between”.

The same applies, she doesn’t fool herself, for her cooking skills: Not fish, not meat, but a vegan “content creation” made of gnocchi, oat cream, soy mince (“The test cooking was better, tasted more like meat”) and Imitation cheese. After all, she sprinkles some Italian herb powder around it (“That on the edge is decoration, please don’t eat it”), and there is also a sprig of rosemary on the bruschetta portions.

“Sure thing,” says Steph, while Max complains about too much oil: “The lip balm comes with it.” Everyone is uncomfortable with the ready meals on the menu (even the bread isn’t homemade), which Kathy (“I don’t know, how to pour wine”) can compensate stylistically: The dishes are served in a perfectly distinctive waiter’s outfit.

And so, after the group was awarded 28 points, Max summarizes: “She was definitely very attentive and gave us what she could.” Maybe it didn’t go with the usual “Perfect Dinner”, but it did with the protagonists of this one Week to say: “What’s normal anyway?”

Monday, June 20: Kathy (24) seems surprised that there still seem to be “people” “out there” who don’t know much about terms like “cis” and “transgender”. He/she sees himself/herself as “gender fluid” anyway: “Sometimes men, sometimes women and mostly somewhere in between”, the 24-year-old model locates himself.

“Then let’s first clarify which pronouns we want to introduce ourselves with!” suggests party hit singer Josi (28), who began her transition 13 years ago. “I usually go with ‘Max,'” says host Max, 35, born in a female body and now an activist, “diversity advisor,” and children’s book author. As the first trans person, he is newly crowned “Mr. Gay Germany” and visibly proud of his glittering victory sash, which also arouses the interest of Tim (32).

No wonder, since he is a churchman – albeit as a Protestant priest rather unfamiliar with robes and gay. The group is rounded off by influencer Steph (29), who emphasizes her “humanity” rather than gender – with a slight emphasis on men.

Oh yes, and this “dinner” week will also be about cooking – albeit at most as a vehicle for various concerns about “celebrating differences” (Max). “It’s about visibility’,” Josi puts it (successful song: “Show me your melons'”) and straightens her phenomenal outfit again. Sure, for the LGTBQIA topics, and at the same time their photogenic protagonists.

As a welcome change from the roast beef jus with celery puree dripping specimens in the suburban home, you can see them in their more or less snuggly apartments despairing of a simple coffee filter or bruschetta slice – and it with a cool message (“I help the people more self-love”) post directly.

Max (“cooking is elementary self-care for me”) is the exception: he describes himself as “maybe not perfect, but a very, very good cook”. Of course, not quite n… – but wait, help, what does “normal” mean anyway? Its menu is dedicated to vegan (“I started for sporting reasons”), full of freshly roasted spices and pleasant acidity:

Motto: “A vegan citrus journey”

Josi seems to like the soup: “Like an orgasm in the mouth,” enthuses the reality professional (“Take Me Out”, DSDS). With the second “omnivore” of the round, Kathy (“I don’t have that much knowledge”), she agrees: “I imagined worse vegan”.

The introduction to seitan steak, quinoa patties and silken tofu cheesecake is excellent and was not intended to be missionary anyway. Everything can, nothing has to – this motto will accompany the week, as well as “You are perfect as you are”. And one ingredient is guaranteed anyway, as the proud Max, who scored 38 points, explains over the aperitif: “LGTBQIA doesn’t work without Prosecco.”
