This is one of the amendments to the second reading of the bill aimed at the prevention and liquidation of possible accidents with oil spill on land. The document has already passed its first reading in the State Duma, and to finalize it, I decided after a recent emergency situation in Norilsk.
“the Bill provides that companies which are engaged in the production, transportation and storage of oil and products of its processing, will have to approve plans for the elimination of spills of oil and oil products and to conduct appropriate exercises,” said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at the government meeting.
– Our main task – to prevent the recurrence of the recent situation in Norilsk, – he stressed. – For this we create a legal framework that will allow first of all to quickly and completely eliminate the consequences of such accidents.
