Monné says he got many responses after that NRK wrote about the case. Workers from several locations in the country contacted and told that they did not sleep in the municipalities they had work in.

When hytteforbudet was introduced was the municipalities know that they could not provide exemptions from the prohibition.

– There have been legal uncertainties about how the ban shall be construed. The municipality has been made aware that we have interpreted the rules somewhat strictly and therefore, our information about this is now up to date, answering the leader of the communications department Harald Nyberg.
