Because of her job, Barbara Schöneberger is constantly surrounded by people. People who pester the popular moderator with questions. And people who are peppered with questions by the popular moderator. One might think that Barbara would prefer to be left alone in private. But wrong thought! Born in Munich, she is a passionate hostess and prefers to have a full house every day – not always to the delight of her husband.

Actually, we don’t know much about Barbara Schöneberger’s private life. She keeps her husband, entrepreneur Maximilian von Schierstädt (49), and their two children (born in 2010 and 2013) strictly out of the public eye. But in the new episode of her podcast “With the waffles of a woman” she gets into a good chatting mood with her guest, the actress Bettina Zimmermann (47). And so we learn one or the other surprising detail from Ms. Schöneberger’s private life – for example that she likes to have guests. And preferably every day. “The children have to realize that there is always someone there.”

In the podcast, Barbara admits: “I almost ambush every father and mother who picks up a child.” She always wanted everyone to come in, make themselves comfortable and have a drink with her – but most would refuse the offer. “Sometimes I think to myself: ‘Maybe they’ll be overwhelmed by me because they realize that I’m the one from TV.'” She would just find it “totally nice”, not only the friends of her offspring, but also theirs meet parents. “Sometimes you get somewhere and the children are snatched away from you by the garden fence,” she says. “The [parents] already have this flickering in their eyes: ‘Don’t ask for a coffee, the housewife will collapse from exhaustion.'” Bettina Zimmermann then wants to know whether her husband is also so hospitable?

“It’s okay,” is Barbara’s answer. Laughing, she adds: “My husband is more like: ‘Can we maybe just have dinner for once?” But the fact that the entertainer likes to have a lot of hustle and bustle around her will be nothing new for her sweetheart. After all, the couple has been happily married since 2009. A few years ago, in an issue of her own magazine “Barbara”, she spoke surprisingly candidly about her marriage. She is grateful that she only met her husband “in my early thirties, about twelve years ago”. “I’m really glad that “It’s not like I met the love of my life so late in my life. It would never have worked when I was 20, so I always felt like there was more out there and definitely something better. I tried before he did.” Men “wanted who are the complete opposite of me, with whom I had nothing in common. I don’t want that anymore, since I understood from my husband how cool it is when you can look into someone’s heart. I understand everything, what he says, what he feels.”

A rebuff at a restaurant? That’s exactly what happened to TV icon Barbara Schöneberger recently. She was not given a table in a restaurant in Dresden and therefore had to leave, as she reported in her podcast “With a woman’s waffles”.

What is presenter Barbara Schöneberger’s beauty secret? Focus Online asked Munich medical specialists.

Birgit Schrowange is back on TV. In the interview, the moderator reveals what she used to have to listen to – and why she didn’t let it influence her.
