labour Minister Anton Kotkov prevented the increase in the number of unemployed Russians to 6 million people by the end of the epidemic of the coronavirus. He declared it in interview to TV channel “Russia-24”.
“When we talk about growth to 5-6 million people, which now says the HSE is in principle one of the scenario of events, which today the Ministry of labor counted themselves,” — said the Minister (quoted by TASS). According to him, the Agency monitors emerging market trends.
According to Kotyakova, the number of unemployed in Russia has reached 950,000. In April there is a dynamic to restrained growth of this indicator within the forecasts of the Ministry of labor, he said. According to the calculation methodology of the International labor organization, is now 3.7 million Russians are unemployed, the Minister said.
In mid-April Kotyakov said at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, in Russia officially registered unemployed 735 000. Since the beginning of the year growth amounted to 44 000 people (6,36%). A year earlier the centers of employment of unemployed was registered 813 000 people, he said.
