MOSCOW, April 23/ Radio Sputnik. Moscow noted the efforts of Ankara to oust the militants from the area along the M4 in the Syrian province of Idlib, said at a briefing the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
She recalled that the Russian and the Turkish military in Idlib take measures for implementation of the Russian-Turkish additional Protocol of 5 March on the creation of a security corridor along the M4 highway and the establishment of joint patrols.
Russia also hopes that will eventually happen disassociation of the so-called moderate opposition from the terrorists by neutralizing the latter, she added.
during the talks, which took place on March 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish leader Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed the commitment “format of the Astana” and announced the introduction of ceasefire from midnight on Friday. Moreover, the leaders agreed on joint patrolling of important highway M4.
In mid-March radio Sputnik reported that in Turkey, told about the first joint patrol in Idlib.
