Historical memorial complex “to Heroes of Stalingrad battle” is preparing for a large-scale restoration. From 2021 to 2025 will be restored and renovated 25 objects of the Museum-reserve. Also in the plans is the expansion of the Museum to the banks of the Volga.
“We know that initially the architect Vuchetich was a very big idea – he wanted to bring this project to the Volga. It’s time to make a decision and to continue with this project”, – said the Minister of culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova and added to that already given appropriate instructions.
soon the Ministry of culture, jointly with regional authorities will consider the continuation of the complex “to the Heroes of the Stalingrad battle” to the river Volga.
According to Olga Lyubimova, will develop a phased plan of restoration and reconstruction of the Museum. And begin with the restoration of sculptures, steles, obelisks and landscaping.
