the first stage of the competition for the position of mayor of Stavropol, there were 12 candidates, when considering applications, some errors were found, seven people dropped out. The remaining five candidates presented their programs, the city Duma deputies assessed them on a scale. In the end, to the vote made the two of them – the mayor of Mikhailovsk Igor Serov and Minister of labour of Stavropol territory Ivan Ulyanchenko. The decision on the election Ulyanchenko was adopted unanimously.
the Previous head of the city Andrey Dzhatdoev died April 30 at age 57. The cause of death is called the come-off blood clot. Dzhatdoev held the position of mayor of Stavropol August 8, 2011.

Ivan Ulyanchenko was born in 1961 in the town of Izobilny in the Stavropol region. Graduated school, got a job at the factory “Atlant”. Served three years in the border troops, after which he returned to work the serviceman of lathes. Later he graduated from the Stavropol Polytechnic Institute on a speciality “the engineer on cutting machines and tools” and the Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
From 1985 to 1991 worked in various positions in the regional Committee of the CPSU, and in December 1991 became the first Secretary of regional Committee of youth Union. In this post he worked till November 1996. Then Ulianchenko became the head of the Department of labour and social protection of Stavropol. In 2011 he became the head of administration of Industrial region of Stavropol city. Then a little over a year he was Deputy head of administration of Stavropol, and in 2013 by the decree of the Governor appointed by the Minister of labour and social protection of population of the Stavropol territory. Married, one son.
