As stated by the mayor, likely to cause traffic congestion have become the priority of personal transport over public and lack of trips to vacation in Moscow.
Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin explained the increased workload of the capital’s roads. According to him, after the lifting of restrictions associated with coronavirus infection, it appeared that many Muscovites move from public transport to personal.
“I think it’s time history, but still the shift occurred – people feel safer on private transport, and congestion we have today – be healthy”, – said the mayor on the air “Russia 1”.
Sobyanin also pointed to the fact that nobody went on vacation. Based on the current situation, he made a conclusion about necessity of construction of new highways in Moscow.
Earlier, the mayor also commented on reports about a possible second wave COVID-19. As noted Sobyanin, the incidence of day-to-day reduced and capital is steadily moving towards the exit of the pandemic coronavirus.
