Earlier it became known that Ukraine has blocked the UN resolution Russia about the easing of sanctions. “As I promised at the beginning of April, we will continue to block Russia’s attempts to destroy the sanctions regime. To effectively combat the world with a pandemic, we need real solutions that will bear practical use. And certainly don’t need a politicized resolution, which aim to ease the sanctions,” — said the head of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba.
In late March, Russia, China, Iran, Cuba, Syria, Nicaragua, Venezuela and North Korea urged to lift sanctions for the sake of combating coronavirus. The UN General Assembly refused to adopt the draft resolution.
