Press-Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the government has not yet taken a decision on the transfer of festivities in honor of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war. According to Mr. Peskov, the Victory parade will take place “anyway”. However, he admitted that the event may not be held on may 9 and later.
As said the representative of the Kremlin, the decision to hold a Victory parade and a March “Immortal regiment” will be given to the future of the epidemic situation in the country. Dmitry Peskov said that “we will be examining various options.”
“But I can say one thing: no one should doubt that the Victory parade and the celebration of Victory Day will be required, I don’t know if it is may 9th or later, but they are necessary,” — said Mr Peskov, in an interview with “Big game” on “the First channel” (quoted by “Interfax”).
Earlier, Dmitry Peskov, said the Kremlin considers inappropriate participation of veterans in public events due of the spread of coronavirus COVID-19. In Russia the number of infected exceeded 13,5 thousand people, died more than 100 people.
